How to go on a Paleo Diet, the God’s Autopsy way
Tentatively titled the “Paleo Adventures Plan” #PaleoAdventuresPlan
I’ve gone Paleo before, but this time, I’ve come up with a better way to manage the cheat meals and/or days. Ideally, you’ll be able to use this plan indefinitely, that’s because you’ll never have to say goodbye to any cheat foods or count any calories. There are plenty of exceptions and plenty of ways to cheat.
Foods Allowed (plants and meat):
Fruits, Fruit Juices (not from concentrate), Vegetables, Nuts, Beans, Meats, Coconut oil, Coffee, Tea, Drugs & Alcohol!, etc.
Not allowed (post-agricultural):
Bread, Rice, Pasta, White Sugar, Salad Dressing, Cheese, Milk, etc.
With traditional diets, calories are counted, but with my diet plan, it’s not required. The system by which you’ll be limiting your cheat-food intake will be the cost or source of your cheat-food.
$10 per-week buying cap on the cheat food of your choice.
Your $10.00 budget can roll over to the next week and so on if not used in the previous week. Borrow from the following week if the cost of a single cheat meal exceeds $10.00. If you have, for example, just $2.00 left for the week and need to purchase something costing $4.00, that’s fine, just don’t make purchases outside of your weekly budget if you’ve already exceeded the limit. After having made the $4.00 purchase, you’ll be left with $8.00 which you can begin spending at the beginning of the next week.
What if you need to purchase something exceeding $10.00? Do it, but just know that you’re going to have to wait over a week for the next cheat meal.
Any free foods, namely, foods bought by others or made by others for you. When you’re at a friend’s place, with family, at a party or a social gathering, enjoy yourself. However, don’t do this with food prepared by a roommate, spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend or cohabitant. Lastly permitted are foods left over from the previous week, or items you may have had in your home prior to starting the plan.
